We have to talk more often. I’m not “hip” and “in the know” anymore. So what’s your favorite mech from all classes (light, medium, heavy, and very heavy)? I forgot the tonnage, but you should know. Most Inner Sphere’s mechs do suck, but they have some good ones – Awesome, Osiris, Catapult, ect. Can you fill me in on the events after 3059? Usually I study pre-destruction Smoke Jaguar and before the Battle of Tukayyid, when the Clans were basically taking names, kicking arse, and blowing things up real good. 8)

well its not looking to good for the Warriors of Kerensky :( as u know Smoke Jaguar was Annihlated and Nova Cat Defected to the IS. Ghost Bear Relocated its Entire Populatioon to its IS Occupied Worlds. :( Steel Viper tried to Kcik Jade Facons Ass but the Falcons Counter Kicked their ass :) Lyran ALliance broke in 2 and is in Civil War. and in the Light class i like the Fire Falcon in the Medium class i like the Nova in the Heavy class i like the Summoner or TimberWOlf, and in the Aussalt class i like the WarHawk

Darn, I didn’t know things were that bad. The clans have to stop fighting among each other. They lack the unification of the IS. Oh well, as long as the Ghost Bar is intact, I’m happy :)

My favorites are:
(from their specs and how I use them)

Cougar or Raven for Light Class
(The Cougar is a beast that can take down most medium class mechs. Raven could be the best support mech ever made)

Ryoken for Medium Class
(massive firepower + heat sinks = lots of dead mechs)

Timber Wolf for Heavy Class
(well… duh. The TW offers the best armor protection, great top speed, jump jets, and it just looks classy)

Daishi Prime Dire Wolf or Kodiak for Assault Class
(one means “Great Death.” The other is the most feared, savage, and cunning of the Ghost Bears. You do the math)

BTW: How’s clan Kell Hounds doing? And isn’t the Nova Cat a heavy mech?

u mean Clan Hells Horses :) well they recently entered the IS war and now have some occupations in the IS and a Nova cat is a mech but it is also a clan which defected toward the IS :(

Yes but doesn’t the tonnage of the Nova Cat make it a heavy mech, rather than a medium? Anyways, the Timber Wolf has to be the perfect mech. It’s the fastest thing in its class and packs massive firepower. So what type of configuration do you use?

well for the TimberWolf i like to have only Energy Weapons exept for LRM 15 or LRM 10 mostly ER LArgeLasers with Some ER medium lasers also i like LMS (Laser Anti Missle) and Jump Jets

Yeah, I try to keep at least two sets of LRMs. But in addition to the large/medium lasers, I really like ER PPC’s (getting rid of JJ’s to make room for Heat Sinks). On Some short missions I like to equip a auto-cannon or gauss-cannon drool - 6 mechs dead easy.

I am not Yourbuttocks, rather his eldest brother using his A&A login to set you misguided followers on the right path. What I speak here today is inarguable truths and any contradictions you make are incorrect unless your name is Jordan Wiesman, Randall Bills, Robert Thurston, or Loren Coleman. This is because I, unlike the majority of Battle Freaks, or any sort of fiction freak, can distance myself and my perceptions from the universe, I do not invariably make my own universe with similar mechanics but different dynamics like the SW freaks who complain about how un-SW like the new SW movies are.

The Clans although still potent, do not (and in the conceivable future) threaten the IS with the possibility of conquering most of it, or even taking Terra.

The problem lies in production and population of all things. The Clans will never be able to win in a drawn out conquest or battle of attrition over a span of generations because they simply are unable to train a sufficient number of troops and construct enough war machines to compete with the Inner Sphere in the long run.

This being the case however, the IS has turned against it self once again and with the Clan OZ (occupation Zone) still not brought up to it’s full potential, this trend may change.

As for mechs, my favorites are by general type, not specific variant (not that would concern you people) is Panther, Wolf Hound, Phoenix Hawk, Shadow Hawk and Griffin. The Shadow Cat and Wraith also factor in there, but are nominally held in lower esteem.

HFW’s liberal on abortion, euthanasia, CFR, Israel. HFW’s moderate on the environment. On guns and punishment HFW’s a conservative.(see Serious Topics for clarification).

Yes but this is not always that simple… Horten is for Abortion and i am against (with some rare exeption), but Horten is conversative/capitalist and i am liberal/social-democrat…

We undrestand this. We are not a ‘one issue’ people as oftne painted by the LIBERAL MEDIA. Even during the United States Civil War(1861-1864) it was not just a ‘slavery issue’.
