Thank you all for the replies! I was the USSR and France in an Allied Victory. The Axis player waited to attack all of the major powers until round three and by that time we were too built up for him to push very far into one area.

Hi Pherman. Like The Methuselah said, nothing is official.  That said, not many (no one) here would allow an Anzac Inf on Egypt. The accepted rule is that the territory needs to be owned by the nation placing the bid unit. Ultimately, is between the players to decide.

The current rule is (Pacific rules, page 16): If an Allied player attacks Japanese units in or declares an amphibious assault from one of these sea zones, the Japanese player can announce at the beginning of this phase that he or she intends to launch one or more kamikaze strikes in that sea zone.  They are resolved before any combat begins.

So the status of any land territories adjacent to the kamikaze sea zones has no relevance.

I see the logic now that uk and dutch are at war with germany makes them buddies

I’ve found floating a sub (or a couple!) on down off the west coast of Africa can work out pretty well.  Some nice convoy action down there to disrupt, and not many threats around.  Puts U.K. out of position if they come chase you down.

France is already at war with Germany and Italy when the game starts.  It may declare war on Japan on any of its turns.

Well either way. uk can only make 9-10 inf r1.  germany round 2 buys more transports and dumps what he has on to a spot near uk. G3 is boom boom if you got the forces or wait a round just shuffle a bunch of guys over and G4 it is done.

There is nothing uk can do. period.

I think he posted his quote on the wrong thread.  It looks like his quote is supposed to be on some thread about Sealion.  Maybe he was thinking of making his post, saw this topic and decided to check it out, then said “Oh, I’ve got to leave my post” but forgot to go back to the original Sealion thread and left it here instead.  Probably a blonde moment, ha ha ha.
