  • Its a great game.  I keep thinking I have this one locked down, and then you pull off a great move with the Americans and now the Japanese are behind the 8-ball…. again.  LOL!


  • Going to the Caroline is pretty standard move for the Allies.  It threatens Japan, forcing them to decide between the money islands and their homeland.  It also makes it very difficult to build new Navy.  The attack into Russia severely delayed Japan’s progression in the rest of that hemisphere.  It will be interesting to see how this plays out in Europe now that the US can focus nearly 100% in that theater.

    You will just love this.  There are Germans in…. Canada.  The Swastika is flying over Calgary.  I mean you had me boxed in and it was either go back to Norway and die, go to Scotland and die, or maybe invade Canada?  Obviously, the Americans will take care of that but it is an annoyance.

    I just calculated the odds.  Because I have the 3 tactical bombers and because you didn’t fly the ANZAC fighters to the Caroline Islands for scramble (and your six US subs are in Hawaii) I am a 54% favorite.  You are a 45% favorite.  It’s that close.  I’m taking my shot (try to sink everything and strand all the Anzac and US troops on the island.)  I can’t let those transports get anywhere near Asia.  So be thinking about how you want to take casualties.  Because I will be hitting you.

    So you my very first hit is the HMS Prince of Wales.  Then the USS California.  Then (one hit) each on USS Enterprise, USS Hornet, and then USS Yorktown?  So the first five hits, capital ships?

  • The Japanese are in big trouble.  They rolled pretty good (well above par in the battle) but the Americans… never missed.  You kicked my @ss.

    Game is not over yet (completely) but it pretty much is.  I have to hope against hope that you roll… lousy at Japan.  I was really counting (my whole game really) on sinking those transports.


  • I mean I don’t regret the battle.  I simply had to do it (I had an edge) so you kind of have to take advantage of those.  But what can you do?
