That’s not my problem.  Read my words again carefully.  And the first stone was cast when it was suggested, AA players weren’t competent enough to caluclate NO’s at the end of their turn, or that they can’t be trusted to use tech or play the 41 setup.

How did you interperet any of that as an attack on the people?  Are you seriously assuming that all brand new players know all the NO’s for every country and knows how every single tech works and how to roll with them?  Because a significant amount of people who go to gaming conventions are people who walk around and try out new games.  So it is logical that for some tournament hosters might want to make things as simple as possible so that new players are less than intimidated and that the game runs faster.

If you go into tactics, then the main reason for the weaker performance of the Me 109 probably was the weak bombers of the germans. I mean, the only planes capable of defending the He 111 or -even worse- Ju 78 was not the bombers themselves but their escorts. So, if the germans had paid more attention to heavy bombers (something that Göring fortunately did not understand), these could have take care for themselves longer and the escorts would have had time to watch their own back also.

I would agree with you F_alk, the Germans just followed different trains of thoughts with the British regarding the use of bombers after WWI. However, my point still stands, I have yet to see stats heavily favoring the 109 over the Spit. If you want to compare the Spit MK II vs the Bf-109 (the types that were used during the BoB), the MK II had speed and maneuverability over the 109 (though the 109 could outclimb the Spit).

The earth is warming up, I think theres pretty good evidence of that. Underground temperatures have risen a few degrees, polar ice caps are melting, all small signs. The cause is also probably a combination of greenhouse gases, the shifting equilibrium of the earth, and other small things. However it is a dangerous trend and we need to take steps to prevent it. Should it be our top priority, no.

The evidence is not as good as many people think. In the 1970s the trend was that temperatures were falling. It all depends on where you start counting from. An experiment with double the amount of carbon dioxide proved that plants with the increased carbon dioxide levels grew to double their normal size and could produce double the amount of oxygen, therefore sustaining a larger population. Even the satellite proof fails to take clouds into account, which lower he temperature a great deal.
