I tried reinstalling tripleA a couple times and it didn’t upgrade from version 2.7 to 2.8. However, I was able to do it another way. Click the “download maps…” button that you see when you first open TripleA (third button up from the bottom on the right) and then choose “World War II Global” from the list and it will give you the version 2.8.

As long as you get it to work, it doesn’t matter how.

When do we begin?
I am on vacation starting friday, and lasting til next sunday. (18th - 27th)
And I probably won’t have internet access during that time.
You should make a “planned absences thread”
And also a rule about how often people have to post turns during a week. Otherwise people could go absent when losing. Failure to play enough during a week, means auto-losing. (I’m only mentioning this because it has happened in every single one of the 4+ tournaments previously organized for aa50 and nwo, on triplea)

I’d do it by team instead of player.
Minimum 3 full turns per week as Axis. Minimum 5 full turns per week as Allies.
Something like that. -
Love the idea Veqryn! Was really worried about this when signing up. Don’t want to play 3 or four turns and then the other team just stops posting…

Tournament rule #1, means I’m in charge, and as I said, if people aren’t going to participate, WITHOUT notice, then we can cut them lose from their game :)

Sounds like a fairly reasonable consideration to me. Let’s hope this is maintained as a standard, and if it is not, some games will be auto-wins. :)
