AA Death?

This seems to involve two different types of attacks.
Is the capital ship itself being attacked? Or is it an SBR on the Naval Base?
If it is the ship itself, then the AA from the Naval Base can NOT fire.
If it is an SBR, then the AA from the Naval Base CAN fire. However, the capital ship can not defend the naval base.

ah cool, so i wasn’t supposed to lose germany then… i had 4 guys on it and usa nutcrackered norway/denmark uk landed 4 guys … i had a bunch of aa guns…

god dam it. he rolled 2 hits i rolled 1… i coulda lost 2 aa guns and still had 2 more. mmm oh well. me and my group forgets the rules too much lol.

Does that include Brazil?

I’d liked to have had more thought on the NOs as well.  They’re too vanilla.  There could have been some NOs for never losing certain territories (when you lose the NO, it’s GONE FOREVER) which could simulate lack of combat damage to factories, etc.  NOs for complete domination of entire continents (easy to snipe, if you can field a navy!)

Russia’s NO should be if they control territories back to China, they get free infantry - instead of cash.

Maybe none of that, but there certainly could have been more thought put into it.  Feels like half a game too me.  IMHO anyway.

London’s 5 AA guns should be able to role once against each of three attacking German fighters in an amphibious assault then for a maximum of 15 die rolls. 5 AA guns each firing 3 times against each of 3 attacking air units.

the 5 London AA guns  could generate no more than 3 die rolls against the 3 German airplanes.

So … which is the correct interpretation?

In the Alpha+3 rules, London begins the game with 4 AA guns ( not sure if your scenario had the UK purchasing one or not, but just wanted to point that out)

If anyone is good at Java, feel free to step up and help.  C# is worthless to me in this.

Has anyone else noticed that on their boards the shade of blue in the ocean is different on the section that includes South Africa?  The other three boards are all the same shade.  It’s not a big deal, but it does drive me a bit crazy.  I have two set’s, and this is a problem on both of them.

Yes, it’s that way on mine too.  But if you scrutinize the water all over all the boards, there are a lot of different shades, and some of them appear intentional.  What bugs me is how the US doesn’t line up with itself.  Sometimes I like to set up the boards so that the US is all intact, so it’s easier to see the action there.  The break between Europe and Pacific seems to be a good place to have on the edges, as an alternative.  But the USA is nowhere near lining up on the side of the board.  :x

I see there are only 2 seazones between West Africa and South America still……  Kinda weird, considering there are 5 zones between Sumatra and Africa, but whatever…

All the more reason to hurry up and be the 24th so we can all have fun playing out the scenarios!
