Japan not attacking round 1 also has a similar strategy. You can focus on china for a turn and if you plan on a sea-lion attack with germany and the german turn went well you might want to prevent the US from doing anything for a few rounds.

With Sea-lion as a viable alternative and Japan in striking position but not yet at war anzac and the UK have to be carefull while the US has to decide how to split its money if they spend all on europe to maby counter sea-lion or liberate fast then japan can really mess around.

I have new ideas for this strategy.

G4 Sealion with all out economic warfare of convoys and SBR starting G1. The amount of money you can remove in first 3 turns is most of their income - lot less inf defending London. (The way you get there is up to you but new strat I want to try - buy AB and destroyer - you can also buy a trns or carry over the money. 2 subs to 106 - or if you’re frisky, one sub, and save the other to convoy 119;
2 subs to 91 to take out UK cruiser;
1 sub, 1 ftr to 109;
1 BB, 3 Tac, 2 ftr to 110

What would stop me from scrambling 4 fighters in SZ109, just wondering there is a verry good chance of killing both fighter and sub for just 1 destroyer ( or 1 fighter )

The BB in SZ110, can be attacked by the UK fleet of 1 BB 1 cruiser 1 destroyer with 3 fighters and 1 bomber. Could remove the bomber to do taranto, if you want to scramble 3 fighters in defence thats ok with me.

As UK gibastion is not an option now but you have a working BB in the area so id love to trade that for the german BB and a bunch of airforce.

Also 110 thats 1 BB 3 tacs and 2 fighters, so 3x@3 and 3@4 against the UK+scramble of 2x@3 and 4x@4 not a bad gamble for the UK to take either.

Do people see Italy as an Axis minor? I don’t, I know it’s the poorest major power in the game but it’s still a major power. My two cents on this debate is you either take Italy and have it support Germany when it invades USSR or you use Italy as a naval power to keep India and UK from linking up or you can take a more questionable route and try to do both.

I listened to you guys and didn’t attack! Waited 2 turns and we ended the game on G6 or 7, I don’t recall properly!

The Russians continued to back, and 2 turns later (G6), I attacked Russia with the Inf + Art group that were built in G1-2. Some tanks + mech joined the battle. Something like 16 art, 31 inf, 11 mech, 17 tank, 3 fighters 5 tactical 2 bombers (I decided to divert part of my airforce to punish a British + US mistake - my airforce was stationned in Leningrad, and there were many transports unassisted)

I crushed Russia with around 10 tanks left + airforce. I crushed UK transport fleet. I blocked US fleet inside Norway/Danemark (he went in) by retaking Danmark.

Overall, I won, because I waited for the additional inf + art :O (Russia only built Inf this game, was that a mistake? He only fell back, and never counter-attacked)

edit : Going from my memory (Saturday feels so farrrr), here is the big battle for Moscow :
Germany :
31 inf, 16 art, 11 mech, 17 tank + 3 fig, 5 tac, 2 bomber

My numbers are probably a little bit off…

61 infantry, 8 art, 3 mech + starting offensive units… (1 tank? 2 fig? 1 tac?)

After my victory over Moscow and the Atlantic fleet, the allied surrendered. Japan was also at India’s doorsteps, but was far from taking the last remaining Victory city

EDIT #2 : What happens to Mongolia rule when Russia capital is taken? Do the Mongolians still spawn if Japan decides to attack?

nah I always buy bombers usa 1 when germany buys naval r1. Japan usually DOWs J2. The only exception would be if japan opens with sino russia strategy, in which case I go full pacific buys rounds 1-4… if germany takes london then I can turn around and almost full atlantic (couples subs or dds for upkeep), because I secured the pacific theater with just those 4 rounds of buy (china, uk pac, and anzac can handle after that).

pretty much my allies strategy centers around uk sinking 97 and the spot below it in low luck games, for dice games it depends on what naval germany sunk…

Two different styles of germany, most do 110 and 111 and that dd transport off canada. others do the cruiser off gib, canada fleet, and either 110 or 111 or 109. If 110 is alive, yeah sure you can merge your fleet instead of doing 97 otherwise you pretty much have to sink 97, which kind of sucks because it is only 84% and not 94%
