I also added in the game totals.  I think its accurate.  Looks like the 3 games played will be G40, AA50 '41, and Revised.
We might have to move DefS to the Canadian team.

Looks like we might be able to get two Canadian Teams, Two European, and possibly 4 US teams.  I’ll have to go through the players and games to see if it works out.  Otherwise we can do mini-tournaments to see who represents which game.  If that’s the case we won’t get to 8 teams, but we could get 2 US, 1 Canada, 1 Europe.  Where the excess players would have at least had a chance in the “play-in” tournaments.

Here’s how it could shake out with G40, AA50-41, and Revised as the games.

Team USA would need qualifiers for each game.  (3)

Team Canada would need qualifiers for G40 and AA50.  NoMercy has no competition at this point. (2)

Team Europe would need qualifiers for each game.  (3)

As a reminder, you can try to qualify for as many as you want but you can ultimately only play one game once we get to the World Cup portion.  Also, Europe can actually field two teams as is pending how you would want to match up players for each team.
One more Revised player for Canada and they can field two teams as well.

We’ll keep going with sign ups and see how things look at the end of August.  At that point we may want to consider starting some of the preliminary elimination matches or figuring out a way to form the teams.

BTW, i think it’s for the time being better for me when i don’t play G40, but to play revised.
With G40 i’m still a starter and the first few games didn’t went too smooth  :-D

I missed that.  I didn’t realize you had Revised down as well.  I editted my post to show you in Revised as well.

Right, once sign-up closes then we’ll worry about trying to narrow the field down.  I’d be open to each team deciding on there own as well.  For example if there are 6 players for Europe and they all agree to make two teams and have three on one team and the other three on another (without ever playing a game), that is fine by me.  But again we want to get the best Teams possible.  Again we can talk about that a little later.
This initial sign-up was just to make sure we have interest in this sort of unique format.  Which we do.  We’ll be able to field enough teams to make it worth it.  It’d be nice to get a few more players though, so we could do 8 overall teams.

Correct about the qualifying.  An example might be better.  Take Team Europe G40. 
There are currently 4 players who said that they could play G40.  Since there might only be one slot for “Team Europe”.  We’d have a little mini-tourney to decide who represents Team Europe in the"World Cup" for G40.  We’d do the same for AA50 and Revised if needed.  To get your 3 players for the final Team Europe.

Obviously you don’t have to play in any or all of these, if you wanted to focus on just Revised that would be fine.

I just wanted to list the Teams/Players a bit differently in the above post so we could see team by team, which games (G40, AA50, Revised), might need time for preliminary matches.

I think we’ll shoot for qualifying to start around Oct 1.

Games will be
Revised (LHTR) - same rules as league/tournaments here.  No Tech.  Bid for Axis.
AA50-41 - same rules as league/tournaments here. National Objectives.  No Tech.  Bid for Allies
G40 (Alpha +2) - same rules as current tournament.  No Tech.  Bid for Axis.

G40 Note:  We will be playing Alpha 2 throughout the World Cup.  It is tested and I don’t like changing rules mid stream.

I’ll breakout the teams and brackets.  If you don’t wish to continue due to rules/time (or for any reason) just say so and your opponent will advance.

We will do qualifying matches to narrow the field to the following:

Team US 1
Team US 2
Team Commonwealth (Canada +NZ)
Team EU 1

So next year Team US 1 and US 2 will play for the US spot and Team Commonwealth and Team EU will play for the International spot.  The US winner will then play the International winner.

For the US Revised and EU Revised, we will need a way to narrow down the players.  I’m not sure if rolling for Byes with 3 players is fair.  We have time to think about it though.

Please don’t start any games yet.

Remember you can’t represent your team in more than one game.  For example, if you win both the AA50 and G40 qualifying tournament for your team you’ll need to pick which version you wish to play and then the 2nd place player (from the qualifying tournament) would play the version you didn’t want to play.

I want to leave this up for a few weeks to see if players drop out before we start.

If all goes well maybe we can wrap up Qualifying by Feb/March and get the Teams into action next Spring/Summer.
