I’ve been working on Axis openers since I came back. I saw Axis bids had gone up to 12 on average, but I had been consistently doing well against Mikawagunichi with a 6-9 bid. We chatted some and I saw him do the transport+marine bid as Italy and liked it. The heavy ANZAC pressure was something I thought of after seeing a very unique Japan opening setup on another game, where they took New Hebrides. Didn’t really capitalize on the pressure that could create however. I have a couple ideas there.

Seeing Axis with a 20-point income lead in turns 5 & 6 is quite scary.
