It’s a blast. Go on Ebay and get both sets, then read all the info in this forum. Good stuff in here.

to be fair though, the global game (when you combine europe with pacific) is completely unbalanced at this point with the starting setup the creators give you.
That’s something that I don’t agree … I think that we need more time to know if the game is unbalanced. From the things I’m reading in the web, seems that most people, as I suspected, are trying the old Ignore-Japan / Ignore USA from old games … until that the other alternatives are not tested (a global approach as allies or the assault on America as reply for Ignore-Japan), we cannot be sure about if the game is unbalanced
However, a thing that I’m sure that we all agree: P40 setup has too much units, specially Japanese planes … that makes the gameplay very confusing, complex and a bit tiring … too manty calculations and moves!

Alpha helps with that.

You have to buy the Pacific game separately.

okay thank you one last question… Are the territories on the map pretty big enough or they like the Spring 1942 board game?

For scale, this is how I see it: the entire board is made up of 4 equal sections(I taped them together). Spring 1942 board is about as big as ONE of those 4 sections. Also for scale, the cardboard counters are about 1 cm square

Thank you for the reply.

The maps and game strategies are great, its the unit setup that’s total crap. Both of these games were meant as stand-alones and not part of a whole cloth.

The game idea was good but, since it’s hard to balance such an epic game with less than 10 people in a few games, the playtesting has been left to us.
