Concerning design and layout with customized game boards, we made a hand-made drawing - gave it to a professional company - made a great deal - and mass produced the game boards to reduce costs.

Hell Cats look great.

By the way, next up is the US Navy. Those will take a while, as there are 48 total ships.
In the meantime, you guys can duke out what nation you want to see next: UK, Germany, or Russia.
-
The planes look amazing. Can’t wait to see the USN!
And I vote UK next.
-
hey all cly make a poll for this!
Eh I dunno… Like a new thread or something? Not really sure if that would be the best thing to do.
-
You should paint the pacific UK just so you can finish the pacific game.
P.S. I saw your picks on board game geek. -
I am looking forward to Germany, but maybe you should save the best for last.

Can you post pics of each type as you go? I put some up of my carriers tomorrow. Can you do a different ship?

I actually do all the ships at once (IE I do the base coats, then all the decks, then all the decals, etc) so it’d be a bit difficult to do this. But they are coming quickly - don’t worry.
By the way; miscounted… There’s actually 60 ships hah.
12 subs, 12 transports, 12 destroyers, 8 cruisers, 8 carriers, and 8 battleships.

Fantastic! Really like your touches to the aircraft carriers! Huh - wouldn’t have thought I’d like that shade of blue on the cats… but I actually like 'em a lot.

I tried the darker Navy blue first, but it was overpowering. I used it for the base of the roundels instead. If I ever get some Corsairs though, the dark blue will look great on them.
Got the number decals from your guy at I-94 Enterprises.

how do you paint it? do you ues enamal, acrilic? water or oil based? do you paint it all at once or do you do half than the other half? :? i want to re paint my old pieces. i will post some of my old panted pieces from when i was 9, tomarow
Let’s see if I can answer a few of your questions:
I use water-based acrylics. Mostly Ceramcoat brand. I hold the pieces by hand so, yes, basically paint half the base coat, then the the other half. Washes are done all at once since uniformity is key. Once that’s dry, I go back and paint the details. After everything is done, I coat them with a satin finishing spray by Krylon. I like the semi-gloss look.
Anything else I can help with?

Good stuff Variable! By the way, make sure you switch your paint jobs on the Guadalcanal Japanese and US cruisers… The molds were switched and the plastic colors are wrong. Compare them to other sets and you’ll see what I mean.

Any new ideas on pricing yet? In other words, how much for a full global (usable in every A&A game yet released) super-deluxe set like the one shown here? $1000 or so?
I’d just like to know my options. I prolly couldn’t afford one so I’d have to do it myself and I’d like to know how much money I’d be saving, lol.
BTW, the US carriers look superb.
-
ya, did you use an air brush or hand brush?
Hand brushes - 1/0 and 3/0 for the base coats, 10/0 and 18/0 for the detail work. Short handles, short to medium bristle length.

Thanks, I did know about this. The bone head maneuver I made though was I got the new pieces from WOTC ,but forgot I had the old ones too until after I painted the Japanese. So I painted the orange US cruisers, but also painted the orange Japanese cruisers instead of the green ones. Dang it.
