Awesome video Bravehart, awesome table, thanks for the journey through every step… this video made me a little teary eyed with the music, the stills, and everybody at the end gaming together around your creation. All I can say is WOW! please fill your youtube channel with gaming videos with this fantastic table. BTW, how did you get your wife to pull the lumber cart at Home Depot? LOL!

@CWO:
Great looking table and an original approach to its design. To quote what an officer says General Marcks in the movie The Longest Day: "Brilliant, Herr General. Unorthodox, but brilliant." Nice video too.
Regarding the hand-drawn turn-order cards, one option that you might consider would be to find images of the roundels online, blowing them up in size, printing them out in colour and gluing the printouts to squares of stiff cardboard of the same type you’re using for the hand-drawn ones. The concept of movable turn-order cards, by the way, is a great one.
CWO Marc,
Thanks for your advice and at the time I was bored and wanted to be creative with the order cards. Got the pens and those white boards from the Dollar Store a while ago, and thought I know what I can do with those!!
But I can add the blow up to the re vamp in the future…!

HBG has roundel coasters for drinks that are about the size that you have drawn. I believe they have all of the nations involved. I’d love to see the nuetral powers coasters included. HBG includes them with an order that they ship out. Â
Dafyd…
Yes, I was thinking about the Neutral countries and thought Oh gosh, it would just add an extra project for me to do…!~! I have already ordered from HBG the Union Jack Roundels for the UK P player. It’s pretty pricy on the old shipping, but a fantastic site, along with FMG.
I gather your Welsh Dafyd?

Hey Mr YGH…
Thanks for the support. Had fun building and hope that new designers can take tips on how to do such a table for there own enjoyment.
Noticed that AnA.org shifted my post to this section of the forum, so thanks for putting it in the right slot!BH…
Ohh,… yes… I had the credit card, she wanted to leave and get home…! It was my game player who was with me. Wife was at the LCBO ( Off Licence ).

As an American, the best way to describe my ancestery is…well…I’m a mutt. My ancesters were very inclusive in whom they procreated with. My name is normally spelled in the traditional biblical way of David but I saw the Welsh spelling in Steven Lawhead’s version of the Artherean legion and I have used it ever since for my e-mail address. :-D
I didn’t consider freight charges when I suggested HBG. On the forum here, it is not always obvious where some one is from and shipping across international boards does get expensive.
I have been planning a table construction of my own and I like your design and the strength you got from the light weight materials. Very nice design.

Thanks Dafyd…
It’s the small things I notice about countries, so I had to ask…!
I have just finished giving the table a re varnish of 2 coats before we start up again for our new season. Our group plays in the winter months when it gets too cold to do anything else!
I have attached pictures of the table as it dries. The Plexiglas we took off but left the nails in.
Good that you are challenged to build your own table. If your committed, it’s fun an rewarding as myself and YGH know!Laters, BH.

The table is looking really nice. I had to go back and watch the video again to see how everything is assembled. I plan on adding drawers under the gaming surface to put the game pieces in. I do not mean to impune your work or presume to tell you what to do but may I suggest adding a small shallow shelf along each side for the game piece boxes. It would free up some space on the gaming surface for your dice towers and game cards. They could be easily added with stock lumber from the Home Depot that you went to. They could be made out of a 1"x6"x8’ for each side.
One the other subject, I have always worn my ancestry with pride. I can identify with alot of different ethnic and national celebrations and feel like I belong. I personaly am a sucker for accents. I live in central Illinois here in the U.S, and I have three major accents around me every day.

Dafyd…
I am a Brit, from South West England, and why I asked straight away if you were a taff!
Umm shelving is actually in process, we have drawn a possible plan and we hope soon to assemble the add-on, get the wood cut to size and screw it in place. Will post soon pics of the process.
Not offended at all by getting any ideas for yourself. I hope at least the video is doing just that purpose.

As you play on it more and more, adding to the table will be inevitable.

YGH…
It will add the enthusiasm for sure to do more videos!
