  • to be honest, i never check the marti dice, i figure if you have to cheat to win, more power to ya.  JJ is probably the same way.  Looks good.  I will stay on him regarding a japan move.

    I’m not in any special rush since it’s non-ranked play.

    I just want to see how effective the bomber-heavy Axis build strategy is.

    Main benefit I see thus far is added swing-back late Sea Lion potential threat. Knocking out the mech/tank on CAU was a nice strategic move, but for the most part the Allies can stay concentrated.

    I don’t see German de-blocking for Japan as a problem anytime soon.


  • Sorry for the delay, had several things going on. Changing jobs, wife’s weekend trip leaving me to care for our 13 month old daughter, other games. I won’t wait as long again. Auswanderslander (I never know how to spell andy’s name, he marries a German and suddenly he can’t have a good American user name) is free to post for me regarding questions and such as we talk by phone when I am at work…with new job, that won’t be such a luxury in the future. If I can get internet access during lunch, things may even pick up…either way I am going from 12 hour work days (with many days off) to 8 hour days, with only weekends off. If I can get past the wife, I should still be able to post daily… ;)

    Regarding the attack on the mech and armor, while I am not worried about you grabbing Iraq (other players do), I figured I had a chance as with all strafes of not losing a unit if defender fails to hit, as it was only 1 bomber, for 10 IPCs its not ideal, but not the end of the world when you factor in that it may prevent the collection of 5 IPCs for USSR for 1 or more turns.

    By the way, I can’t open that map, as I get an error every time. Can you open it and repost the map?

    According to the rulebook Japan can’t attack FIC and still collect the 10 IPC trade-with-US NO.

  • Looks like they changed it on me, not used to second edition completely. Just leave it as is. killing the plane is worth 10 dollars since Anzac needs the money more.
