  • Holy crap am I being sloppy this game…. I set the turn up a few times but when I went to run it I forgot the second mech from EP into western Ukraine so I could noncom through to Bryansk. Hate to ask, but could I edit that in? I’m perfectly fine with you saying no as it effected a combat move, just so damn sloppy of me.


  • I haven’t looked at the map but my general rule is no changes after dice has been rolled, but I’ll check when I get some time.

    I normally don’t care about ncm changes, even if out of sequence or even out of turn as long as no dice has been rolled between.


  • No worries either way. I’m just really frustrated with myself for being so repeatedly sloppy. Maybe a better solution would be to lose a fighter instead of the mech? Accomplishes the same goal and wouldn’t have had any effect on the combat move… I hadn’t thought of that during casualty selection. Would that be acceptable?


  • if it was a fun game then I wouldn’t care but in a semi formal recorded game I’d like to be a little more strict. trust me, I’ve screwed up like this lots of times but I just eat it. I was very sloppy early on in this game. lots of times even when it’s ncm I just let it go, like that last russian turn, I really did not mean to put my tanks/mech into novgorod.


  • Aight, no worries. But, in the future, if you want to change just about anything, please ask. Don’t just eat a misposition. I really don’t mind most of the time. I much prefer to play against someone at their best, even if that requires reflection :).

    I don’t think it’s going to matter either way since you still have a decent shot on taking out russia especially if I don’t turn out “average” battles during this turn.  It’s almost a coin flip either way.  This will pretty much be the game here coming up.

  • yep, pretty much what I thought might happen, now you have even a better than coin flip on moscow.

    I keep on reminding myself not to play any more triplea games until they fix the “random” dice generator.  way too many strings of numbers are rolled instead of truly random dicing.  near the end I rolled 5 6s in a row followed by your 3 tanks all rolling 2s. that 3/39 round really stung and the probability of that happening are pretty damn high. I’ve seen way too man 1 in a million events for this to be coincidental.

  • nah it happens, I was more disappointed in myself for moving the tanks/mech up to leningrad for no apparent reason. just got distracted and forgot the uk were suppose to wipe out the infantry. I only noticed after japan went and us/uk was up but then it was too late. had I not done that I just would have sat in moscow and had a 2:1 odds had you decided to attack, which I assume you wouldn’t.
