I so wish you meet team Boldutch next round…you’re going to be eaten alive…

    @Cow:

I just want more competition. I only worry about soulfein’s team to be honest.

What’s that supposed to mean? How are we not being honest?!

    GG

  • I think he means he honestly thinks your team is the only one good enough to play against him.  :-D

I like the axis play so far in that game, it is aggressive and good. I suspect boldutch will end up climbing the loser bracket. So you are wishing me to go to the loser bracket to face them and lose and be 0-2 out. Considering I do a similar opener to rhey’s (in fact I should add rhey’s opener to the guide as well… I will get on that ball in a sec), I am watching that game, because I want to see how it works out.

What you suspect and reality are 2 things that might have nothing in common….

  • TripleA

well axisplaya, boldutch is allies and the axis seem strong, unless I missed something.

for me, Cow’s posts are truly some of the best reading on this site - fascinatingly surreal

  • TripleA

waka waka. Europe is a little sketchy in that game for axis, I will give you that, it is behind a little, but that is fine. That game is solid, because japan is going to be strong.

  • TripleA

I got axis win pacific in under 10 rounds as my prediction.

Please allow me to reiterate for clarification.  Cow has made a prediction that the Creature Commandos are going to beat Bolddutch.  That is his opinion based on his judgment of that game as it stands right now at the end of the first round.  Cow has predicted that Bolddutch will be sent to the “loser bracket” after that game, where they will never face Dairy Qryn because the latter will not be in said loser bracket.

On the other hand, Gargantua has opined thus:

    @Gargantua:

No offense dutch, but after reviewing ALL of the game match-ups, most of which I would argue skills are relatively even…

LOL, it’s this one, my guts is expecting to see end in no less than a TOTAL MASSACRE of creature commando’s.

LOL… so they’ve got my support, Bolddutch will prove a tough team to beat, but hey this is Axis and Allies, and ANYTHING can happen.

    interesting.

Lot’s of smack talk - I like it.

    Makes me feel dirty.

I need better English, Vance has to interpret what I say for everyone.

You said it perfectly clearly.  I just find it interesting to see two experts like yourself and Gargantua have such completely different opinions.

  • TripleA

Well, honestly I like Rhey’s opener, it is similar to my version, I am not sure if he looked at my strategy guide and made adjustments or if it is something he worked out himself, either way it is cool and exciting… I like it.

So yeah I am going to root for the Axis in that game, plus he is the only one that did J1 DOW, which sets him apart from the pack.

Vance you do J1 DOW too right?

kinda funny how the ending of a round1-game is being discussed, couldnt resist myself and took a look :)

japs got a fair chance of winning imho, but they have to be really quick about it - europe probably will turn ugly rather soon.

depends on a 50/50 naval battle, that is rough.

  • TripleA

naval play is fun to do as germany from time to time. lots of options with it… this is awesome.

I just realized I called Make_It_Round by the name of Rhey by moosteak. My bad.

    Japan is already cooked  IMO.

They’re going to be hard pressed to Liberate Yunnan by J3, and they don’t have enough of a transport campaign to swoop India in time, with no cross land agenda in place either.  If you’re going via Land, the first milestone is consistent control of yunnan.

I’m seeing J2, maybe J3 expansions,  then abysmal and imminent collapse.

Not to get you down though Make_it_round, I could be wrong. :)

    Gentlemen, love the discussion.

I am amused to see how many experts there are on G40 Alpha 3.9.  No one knows how it will end up, and the dice gods will have a significant say on the matter.

The Allies do have some advantages in certain places, such as Egypt and Yunnan.  And the Germans will have a 1 or 2 plane Luftwaffe at the close of G2.  Those factors have to be taken in when examining the “strong” position of Japan.  Let’s see what kind of hurt Japan will lay on the Allies over the next few rounds and we’ll have a better picture of how the match is going overall.
