@the_good_captain Well, it sounds like email would be best.
I have played AnA, yet not the anniversary edition.
How does it work through email with die rolling etc. ?
let me know
I was thinking about hosting a virtual conference. It would be a lot like a live gaming conference with “door” prizes and plenty of gaming but instead of traveling you participate where ever you via via your computer.
To implement something like this I was think of using some or all of the following:
TripleA (for the board games)
MapView (for the minis games)
IRC, for general chatting (might be able to use TripleA for this too)
Google Hangouts (video conferencing, video announcements, etc.)
Thoughts?
Hmmm… we could promote TripleA and it could be hosted here at .org
Sounds very interesting to me.
voted no, dont have triple A or enough time to do it right now :(
You might surprised how easy TripleA is to install and use. It’s FOSS (free open source software) and is integrated to work with the forums.
Time, well, I can’t help you there.

We would be willing to SPONSOR such an Event… Prizes / Space on our Site / Media Support etc…
Interesting idea for sure. I voted yes for the time being.
I dunno, but I seem to think it would be easier to get away for a weekend to play games rather than being at home where my attention can get misplaced … but still an interesting idea that i’d be more than willing to try at least once!
To quote a famous movie: “If you host it, they will come”. In other words, I think that if you were to run an event like this the hardcore among us, ya’know, the ones crazy enough to come cross country for an event, will be there. I also think that a larger number of Hardcore A&A.org’ers would also attend simply because the ease of sitting down at their computer and logging in to play.
I say go for it
It would be best to put up a help page for those new to things like TripleA, MapView, IRC, or Google Hangouts.
I’d be in for it.
Per my comments at FMGC I’m in.
We already have a help page for TripleA. :-)

Probably a consolidated step-by-step help page for all elements that would be involved in this Virtual Gaming con would be better though. And make sure people get pointed to it easily.
