@SuperbattleshipYamato Yeah I get you 100%. Alternate History is a niche interest in the first place so finding other people willing to go down the rabbit hole is always tough.
East Africa
-
You may have seen Spartan_Soldier’s thread about Greece. I’m working on a similar A&A Express game-About East Africa. Any historical information on Military is appreciated, as wikipedia gives very little location detail

This is what I found so far… Hope it helps

Good Luck!

Interestingly, during WW2, Egypt was technically independent

Useful map
If you look at my map, Funnily enough it seems to have all of these borders. Coincidence? Nope :-). But thanks anyway

Nobody cares about Africa, that’s why you had a hard time finding out what happened there.
It’s one thing to play a “battle style” game. But atleast choose a turning point battle, not a complete side-show.
Why not pick make a “battle game” for Greenland? The nazi’s made a few weather stations there, and the Americans tracked them down like a “Where’s Waldo” and torched them.
Nice of FMG to help you out though…
-
You could package a few of these games together in one battlepack titled: Insignificant battles of the Third Reich!
You get after-thoughts such as:
- the skirmish in Somaliland
- The Seabees of Alaska -battle as either the US Seabees or as the dreaded perma-frost!
- Gargantua’s Greenland weather station torching
what else could we add?
-
VERY FUNNY! :-D
B :-D But honestly, this was an important episode of the early War.
I would REALLY like to see some EXPRESS Games on the Early Early war…. Like
Spanish Civil War
Winter War
Invasion of China

Had East Africa Not Fallen, Egypt would have been between the hammer and the Anvil. North Africa would not have been a Theatre, and World War II not a WORLD war. The world is made of tiny bits and pieces, and if any one were altered, the world as we know it would be a very different place
“If it is captured by the Nazis the armies of darkness will march all over the face of the earth.”

The Invasion of Luxembourg would be an interesting game.
I think a german soldier broke his arm during the 1 day conflict.
82 km by 57 km.
Why not?
-
Total Luxembourgish casualties amounted to 75 police and soldiers captured, six police wounded, and one soldier wounded.

Yep one day.
No German casualties. A french Retreat. No deaths. Only police resistance.

Still pretty decisive. Imagine if it had lasted 10 days instead of 1. :-o
