You want the 1936 map! It has the terrain printed on it, and as I understand it, you can use it for a 1939 set up. Really the maps have slight differences. I think the Global War is moving in the direction of the 1936 map. I am trying to justify buying it now. Real question is 36" x 72" (3 ft by 6 ft) or 48" X 72" (4 ft by 8 ft) 1936 map!!! From what I gather if you have the room and are using 3D sculpts for bases, you may want the larger map.

Hi
Is this the 6x3 map?, 35" X 72" = $39.95 on Bond…$89.95 on vinyl
Because it seems this will be a bit to long for my table, if I downsize the map a little more, will it still be playable? No overcrowded territories? -
thats wierd my map is cut of at the side. what are the dimentions of the file?
-
The file is a 96x48….it prints at a 96x47. The other prints at a 72x35. The original file has been changed, so in not sure.

Here is a under construction abattlemap module http://www.axisandallies.us/39T.gim.zip
Ownership still needs to be added to each territory… if someone wants to help forward the project would be great.
I’ve become overloaded with work to do and decided to present the module as it is now… if someone wants to continue working on the module would be awesome… let me know if have any questions on how you could help… just pm me

Nice man, but maybe vichy french and free french should have separate colors? maybe canada and anzac should too

yeah… the toolpeices still need some refinement.
-
Looking good! I suppose ANZAC and Canada could have separate colours, although how often are they going to be in the same territory? I guess it might happen in the Mideast.
I think it would make sense to have the Free French and Vichy French have different shades of blue (Vichy obviously darker blue ).

The toolpeices aren’t done… just the flags so to speak… the toolpeices are always left for last as the internal stuff isn’t set… like ownership… someone is working on it and should have that updated soon… if you want to perfect the toolpeices… that would be cool.

Wow the mod looks great! I’m unable to print this so thank you so much for making this mod! A little more work on it and it’ll be excellent!

Just thought of something. Maybe you could make a color for each axis minor. Just for fun so you can say “the Romanians took Kiev”. Also for house rules.

Just noticed some discrepencies:
Naval Base on map but not on setup chart:
Cairo, Crimea, Rio de Oro, Java, Oslo -
A couple of questions:
1. Can a single mech/tnk activate 2 minor axis in one turn? Or does it have to stop in the first Minor Axis it activates?
2. Was looking for an explanation of the convoy rules and couldn’t find one, forgive me if this has already been answered.
Do those convoy boxes function to link the surrounding seazones to a convoy path? So if I have 1 Italian sub in sz27 and 1 ss in sz32 I can do 4 convoy damage against the UK? Does the 3 IPC limit mean a limit of 3 from each sea zone or 3 total?
3. If Poland is not attacked or survives the attack from Germany on round 1 it becomes Pro-Allied, does that refer to Warsaw or all of Poland? If only the units in East Poland survive the attack can they attack Germany (or Russia if they survive a Russian attack on Round 1)?
4. Is Iceland Pro-Allied?
5. Is the fortification in Reims disabled if part of the German attack comes from Holland? Or does the whole attack have to come from Holland in order for the Maginot Line to be ignored?
6. The setup chart doesn’t say which territory the 4 Finnish infantry start in (I would assume Helsinki).
Thanks a bunch!

im pretty shure they are like the ones in aap

The convoy routes in the original AAP? I never played that version.
Just took a look at the rules though, so basically it’s like a territory that you have to hold. If you hold an enemies’ convoy box you do that much damage to their economy. And it’s a separate sea-zone, am I getting that about right?

i think so, i have played Europe 1999 edition and thats how we played it then
