before I made the 39 map I used the world at war rules with the AAglobal map. It took a little work to adapt the rules to the map , but it worked really good. I used minors and neutrals also. Although it was still a 1940 game. Take the rules for my 39 game and try them on the global map. Right now I have too many projects going on and would have to stop and make another map, wish I could help. To be honest the 39 global game isn’t that much longer to play than the AA global game, 2 turns maybe. You should try it!

The biggest problem is the size of the map actually. And I have no hardcore A&A friends, they like A&A, but they rather prefer a game that not take to long time to play.
Anyway, the size issue, is the map still playable if I downsize the map a little?, my biggest concern about downsizing the map is overcrowded territories, do you think this will be a problem? -

6x3 ? How many inches?, or cm? Height and Lenght? I would love the map in PDF file.
I got two gaming table, one that is height 90 cm x lenght 175 cm and height 75 cm x lenght 135 cm. In inches that would be, 35,4 inches x 68,9 inches and 29,5 inches x 53,1 inches.
Would one og these tables be big enough?, maybe the smallest one, 29x53 inches? -
even my 4x8’ map teratories are cramped.

We had complaints about the territories being too small on the 36x72 map. I’ve been working on a revised version that should give the territories more room. especially in Europe and the Med. The US will be smaller, but the map will still have same territories and sea zones.

the seazones arnt a big prolblem, but europe, med, yes shrink s africa a bit too.

I will, that’s about the only way to expand Europe and Med! Coach and I are trying to perfect a Global map that looks as proportional as possible while still staying playable, without being crowded. We have some other suprises also!

thats wierd my map is cut of at the side. what are the dimentions of the file?

The file is a 96x48….it prints at a 96x47. The other prints at a 72x35. The original file has been changed, so in not sure.

yeah… the toolpeices still need some refinement.

Looking good! I suppose ANZAC and Canada could have separate colours, although how often are they going to be in the same territory? I guess it might happen in the Mideast.
I think it would make sense to have the Free French and Vichy French have different shades of blue (Vichy obviously darker blue :wink:).

The toolpeices aren’t done… just the flags so to speak… the toolpeices are always left for last as the internal stuff isn’t set… like ownership… someone is working on it and should have that updated soon… if you want to perfect the toolpeices… that would be cool.

Just thought of something. Maybe you could make a color for each axis minor. Just for fun so you can say “the Romanians took Kiev”. Also for house rules.
