• I was thinking of a simple solution to the Vichy problem. What if after the end of the round in which Paris falls France becomes a semi-pro axis neutral, allowing German not Italian units to pass through its north african and syrian territories but can’t take them over unless they declare war. The rest of the territories are treated like true neutrals but attacking them will have no bearing on the other neutrals. The french fleets, except the madagascar destroyer, are still allied and move on the french turn. The destroyer defends the coast of madagascar and will engage any units involved in an invasion of the island. Then if the allies hold Paris for one turn France becomes an allied power again.


  • I saw a lot of Vichy/free french rules on this forum over the years.
    There was some good idea but no rules represented the real situation of Vichy/free french in WWII.
    It’s easier to make a simple rule than an historical rule.
