Fighters can capture neutral territories but can they still conduct combat?

Fighters can capture neutral territories by flying over them. The rule states the territory is automatically captured with no battle. My question is this: Can an air unit fly over a neutral territory and then conduct combat in a zone adjacent?

For example: A German fighter flies out of eastern Europe and into the Black sea. It then flies over Turkey (capturing it in the process) and engages in combat in Persia with the British. [One might want to do this if there is an AA gun in Ukraine SSR or Eastern Europe] If it survives combat, it will land in German occupied Persia.

Is this a legal move?

@The_Good_Captain Yes, except for the bit about landing in Persia. You can’t land an air unit in a territory you just captured.

@Krieghund Thanks! (For completeness, I should have been more clear in that Germany controlled Persia at the beginning of its turn in this example. i.e. there was/is a legal landing zone for the fighter)
