Thank you very much for the reply. I will have a look.
Where do I find dice towers?
-
Hey all,
I’m now a moderator for a local A&A game club that’s tied with a community funded hands on museum.
I have decided that I would like to buy some dice towers and “lend” them to the center when I moderate.
Some of the older kids wing the dice off the table causing issues. Example when it hits the ground as a six then they re-roll on the table as a 1.
Other players are acused of “not rolling the dice right.”
Any-who I’m looking for some nice dice towers. By nice I mean durable not made out of an old shoe box type material and at a decent price.
Any idea where I could find any or would I be better off going to the hard where store and making my own?
Thanks,
LT

I seem to remember back in my Squad Leader days most people made theirs or bought them from someone else in the community that made them. A quick google search yielded these results.
Some nice ones

Thanks Bigdog +1.
I think I am going to go to the hard where store. I want the tower to be able to fold into the base for storage & transporting. Since I want three of them I think this will be the best way to go.

A member here Craig Yope makes nice towers. Mine is great. One of those things you instantly recognize as being of good craftsmanship.
Were I to replace it I’d only want one with a bit larger of a collection area with a longer run out. It is a bit small to roll the biggest BOTB battles in with 12-sided dice.
Like locks on doors dice towers keep the honest players (mostly everyone) honest. No trying to drop dice flat or finagle dice off the hand to a good result. Put 'em in the top and read your random results. I have noted considerably less drama about rolling the dice with the use of the tower.
Some folks resist using it or stop if the dice don’t go their way though and they feel ‘cheated’ be being asked/required to use it.

I think the group I’m teaching would like using the accessories of dice towers and custom dice from Field Marshal Games.
Thanks I’ll give Graig a PM.
