• Do You have to roll the dices for inf first, then a new roll for tanks/fighters or can You just add upp 5 inf, 1 tank and 1 fighter and then roll 7 dices and sort out the outcome? In the manual for A&AE it is explained like this:

The attacking player goes first. Note that the battle board
is divided into four sections. The attacking player may find it
convenient to resolve all combat in section 1 first, then section 2
and so on. However, this is not required.

The Bold part is done by me. I read this the way that You have a choice. Either roll for the inf separately, then for the tanks etc. Or add up, roll all the dices and sort out.

The part about not being required is refering to the order you do the catagories in.  You don’t have to do the first section first, you can do the last section first if you want.  But, the individual sections need to be rolled seperately.

If you have different colored dice you can roll them simulatiously.  But you have to be able to tell the difference between the dice for each attack value.  It is usualy accepted to roll all the dice for units that hit on a 1 then all that hit on 2 etc.

So in your example if you have 5 red dice two black dice you could say “The black dice are the fighter and the tank, and the red dice are the Inf”, and roll away.  The red dice will hit on a 1 the white dice will hit on a 3.

    clear as mud?
