I rarely if ever build an IC for the UK. I’ve built one all over the world for UK but the only successful one is Norway. And thats only to apply more pressure to Germany if your income has exceeded the Kindgoms production capacity.

The latest version of Triple A is very good. You can play someone via e-mail, or live on line. The AI is ok if your a beginner,( or just feel lke breaking a losing streak). i usually end up playing solitaire when I’m working out a new strtagy. Or you can play hot seat at yours or someones PC. I ike it because I don’t have to have a board set up somewhere all of the time. Also, I think some of those guys I play against on line don’t bathe very often, so Playing them over the internet works for me. :-D

Im looking forward to it because I have yet to see T-34’s in Brazil as well lol. But not having to setup a board is clutch. We manage a meetup once a week playing the boardgame but its not enough to satisfy the craving haha. Cant wait to start playing some games versus fellow forum members.

I attack Ukraine and Western Russia. Ukraine is more important I feel. From our experience its game over Russia in 4 turns if Ukraine is not taken turn 1. I bring 3 inf, 1 art from Caucus, 3 arm, 2 fig. For Western Russia I crash 8 inf, 1 art, 1 arm from Russia-Karelia-Archangel leaving 1 inf in Archangel so Germany doesnt get a free territory. Makes Western Russia resistant to counter attack and allows russia some R2 attack flexibility. I’m rather aggressive with Russia if no strategic bombing
R1 4 arm, 1 inf - save 1 ipc
R2 6 arm
R3 depends on oppenent but I buy armour until The germans/Japan are knocking on the door. I let the UK bring in infantry on their transports.

The game looks great, especially the unstable version. Has caused me to make an extreme effort to learn Java so I can play with the AI and ease troop movements. Would be nice to have a higher difficulty when playing alone.

Yes I should have been more specific. Revised is the only one I’d want to play.

I want to get the PC version of the boardgame. Which is which? There’s a couple by Atari amongst other brands. Thanks!!

Building an IC for western Europe has always intrigued me. Will have to try that one. I think a channel dash is possible turn 2 if you build the IC requiring a navy buy G2 for Western Europe. I think using the MED fleet for Gibraltar is a big mistake. Not taking Egypt allows the UK to move its India Fleet up into MED UK1. For me taking Africa $$ is important also. Waiting for Japan to take Russia depends on if US does KJF or KGF. IF US does KGF I would play Defense with the Baltic fleet and add to it. .
