I know it’s been discussed before here. However, seems like a popular set-piece battle. I think it would be more fun and easier to play than Bulge, D-Day, and Guadalcanal. Just my two cents. Could the game be made more in line with ‘normal’ play and rules and not just have “Axis and Allies” slapped on the front cover? Your thoughts?

Why not an Axis and Allies Stalingrad?

RE: Favorite Christmas Gift
@abworsham4 I know I was under 10 years of age. I received a nice bike. Parents were poor. Still means a lot to me.

RE: Axis&Allies Stalingrad or Kursk?
Would be nice if Larry Harris did it as his swan song. I think it could be a great game.

RE: ONE SIXTH SCALE HOBBY
Spring 1942, alternative universe, somewhere in the Philippines. My best video yet! Bigger, better, and badder. Come watch GI Joe defend the Philippines from Cobra, the Japanese, and even the Communists. Stay cool, stay brave, and stay Joe. Mabuhay.

RE: OOB Pacific 40 wasn't 'pointlessly broken!'
Thank you so much for this update. That thread is one I’ve been following behind the scenes for years. I can’t believe Larry Harris didn’t do more to improve this stand alone game.

RE: Playing in 2017 still, General Strategy/Discussion
@domanmacgee Good advice. I guess I’m old school, then, hehe. I prefer the 1st Edition for two reasons. I honestly like it. And, it’s all I have time for right now in my life. I do like the new school games. They look really fun.

ONE SIXTH SCALE HOBBY
Does any one else collect one-sixth scale action figures and diaromas? I’d love to hear about it and see people’s collections. I have a huge collection of figures, vehicles, and diaromas-most of them never seen on camera.
I created a story line of an alternative WW2 universe, somewhere in the Philippines. It takes place in Spring 1942, hehe. Sound familiar? Think Scooby-Doo meets GI Joe. I’ll attach an old video I did some type back. My editing skills have greatly increased, but I’ve got little alone time with my hobby because of young kids. My wife finally said I had to stop collecting GI Joes, haha.
I’ll try to make a video of what’s on my supper table right now. It’ll blow your mind. Anyways, mabuhay.

RE: Pacific Theater Ally Key Points/Strategy
@amp12 What were you doing with these Allied countries in Europe at the same time? Just curious.

RE: Shouldn't Allies always win?
If Russia is aggressive in its first move, all things considered, it’s game over for the Axis. It’s why I favor a house rule that forces the USA to spend a certain amount of money in the Pacific Theater-and units purchased can only be used in that theater of operations…

RE: 👋 Introduce or Re-Introduce Yourself (Current)
@andrewaagamer Hehe, thanks, friend. I’m trying to be glass half-full and humorous in my elder age. I wish my real name was Oliver Cromwell. He is my favorite general. I go back and forth as my favorite politician and statesman. However, I’ve promised myself to make no political comments on this site. Be on the lookout for posts I’llmake about my hobby. It’s real cool stuff, hehehe. I love playing Axis and Allies. But, hard to do with kids now.

RE: Spring 1942 1E Balance
I always make sure the USA buys a certain amount of IPC’s against Japan. And those purchases can only be used against Japan. It gives a more authentic feel to the game. And it makes yhe Allies fo something else than Europe 1st every move.

RE: Worth it or not?
It’s quite worth it. My favorite version of the game.

RE: 👋 Introduce or Re-Introduce Yourself (Current)
- My name is Oliver Cromwell.
- I am from Ely, Cambridgeshire.
- I greatly enjoy playing Spring 1942, 1st Edition.
- One house rule I’m adamant about is that the Allies must use a certain percentage of their IPC’S every turn to the Pacific Theater. And these purchases can only be used in the Pacific Theater. I believe it’s a more authentic feel to the game. It prevents that boring Europe First Strategy. Anyways, Mabuhay. I’m off to fight the forces of the tyrannical King.
