well, that was quite a game! really enjoyed it, very intense till the end, and thought you might fight on, trying to delay axis win in europe while picking apart japan slowly… japan remained strong but ground logistics was challenging, was considering a factory up in the north soon to help with that. maybe that bombing of london shook you up quite a bit, combined with japan recovering its lost territories and positioning ever stronger as you were forced to spend most of your income in the atlantic.
i think you had an opportunity to delay me a bit longer in getting to TJ, at least the math was there (barely) but that would mean sending all available air over to defend, evacuating pressure on japan around burma/yunnan etc. so i figured that didn’t appeal to you and you’d rather just fall back and hold in egypt.
looking back, i think the one strategic mistake i made was not having a G bomber in range when i sacked india, allowing you to place a blocker at sumatra and hold java for a turn… that opened things up for the allies and allowed you to reinforce india and keep it going indefinitely.
afa those questionable air bases, well the borneo one i just figured it would save my carrier from a counter attack, so felt it could be worth it, and could be useful in island counter attacks. and the kiangsi one i felt gave me all the range needed to thwart korea while also threatening india, carolines, etc. but yeah it was a bit excessive
