1. I have made some adjustments to the font representing the territories, which do you think would look best? The lines on the chart is something i won’t change, it requires a lot more work based on the format that i’m using. I could darken the manilla folder texture just a little, but too much and the letters would get too mixed in. The Nation-specific stamps would be a pretty cool feature and i thought about it, but require searching the web for hours… its just something i’m tired of :cry: though i wouldn’t mind some help :-D then maybe i could add them.
2. The mobo background pic was all i could find that fit the profile, i tried looking for WWII era labs etc… but couldn’t find appropriate ones. Though if you know of any feel free to post =)
3. I might try that, but i likes the messyness :-P but compare the two and let me know which one you like.
EDIT: I was looking through the PNG file and noticed that the Manilla Folder is actually darker on the file than it is on the Screen Shot.

Hey guys i’m new to ‘play by forum’ but not new to the game of Axis and Allies, i’ve been playing the Revised edition on gametableonline. I recently acquired the extra cash to buy Europe 1940 and now have both Europe and Pacific and i’m looking for a game. Anyone interested?

When it comes to strategic bombing no one commits to one. It seems there isn’t enough incentive to proceed with bombings (at least for some people). So I’ve been playing around with an idea on how to solve that problem.
–Strategic Targeting–
This die roll will determine which type of unit becomes temporarily unavailable to the victim’s
next Purchase Units phase.

depending on what you roll,
Lets say you roll a ‘2’
The attacker gets to chose any ground unit: I.E. Tank, The unit chosen cannot be
purchased at the beginning of the defenders player’s turn (this only lasts 1 turn).
Here’s an example of combat:
You are Strategic Bombing with 1 SB, and 2 Escorts.
The Enemy has 2 Interceptors
-The fighters proceed with combat, none are destroyed.
-The SB receives flak fire from the IC built-in AA, fortunately it was not hit.
The IC is within sight of the Bomber, 2 Dice will be rolled.
1 for Strategic Targeting, and 1 for normal damage
1d6 is rolled @ 2 > Attacker selects from Ground Units column > Tank > Tanks cannot be purchased on defenders Purchase Phase (1 turn only)
1d6 is rolled @ 3 > Industrial Complex receives 3 damage points > player chooses either to repair or not.

1. Yes Mechanized Infantry have the ability to move 2 spaces. For instance it can move through a friendly territory then onto a hostile territory, but in order to blitz from one hostile territory to the next, it requires a tank
1a. Yes it doesn’t require a tank to move, unless it’s blitzing.
1b. Yes
2. Yes, because the territory has been captured and it’s under your control. since you’re not attacking the neutral territory, you’re just “acquiring” the territory it doesn’t fall under the same category as blitzing.

planes cannot attack submarines unless a destroyer is present. Submarines are sneaky and are able to hide from planes, so a destroyer needs to be present to ‘detect’ a submarine and radio it in.
So the British can’t scramble their planes.
the planes on the AC cannot attack, they need a destroyer.

check out www.gametableonline.com, you can play A&A Revised there for free (vs the AI). Play a few games, to get a feel for how the rules are applied. That’s how i learned to play the game, and definitely helped me become a better A&A player.

Does the US receive 30 or 40 IPCs during its wartime economy and if Western United States is captured, does Japan gain 50 IPCs from the territory per turn? if not whats the purpose of the ‘50’ on the map.
