This is not strange at all, the opposite would be strange. I don’t think Russia would have joined the war before Pearl Harbor if it wasn’t attacked by the germans before that.

So you can fly from Marocco to Egypt with just 2 movementpoints? Please think…. If you could fly over Sahara they would have to part it up in more territories.

OK, here’s a question.

If you look at the borderbetween Libya and the Sahara, there appears to be an oddly shaped territory that’s colored more like the beige of a neutral territory (no name or other symbol visible, though) than the blue-gray of the impassable Sahara.  Any theories? Is that a possible path to try to outflank the Brits in Egypt, or do you think it’s some other map or picture artifact?

That’s just the rest of Libya(look at a modern map), and is probably there to show that part of Libya is in the Sahara.

Perhaps it will be possible to move troops to that libyan part of Sahara as well…… Interesting… I’d love to see Anderb’s opinion on this one.

Holy cowshit! What a nice piece of artillery. I really want to spend some money on these new units, sooner rather then later, to fill up my grand Ammo box! :D Looking forward to have a look at the italian aeroplanes.

This is correct.  The ANZAC and FRANCE dice are not ready.  We will ship out to all customers that have ordered an AMMO BOX free of charge once they are complete.

That’s what I’d call grand customer service! I’m very pleased and satisfied! :) I hope we will get 2 sets, since my mate ordered 2 Ammo boxes. One of them was for me…… ;)

Oh happy days! One of them is for me! :D Now I’ll just need the new miniatures from FMG to be made, and my luxury edt. of 1940 Global is starting to shape up! Mid august seems so far away……

Depends on the importance of Suez.  If taking this creates a major IPC drop for the UK (which it should) then the Axis needs to consider Africa seriously.

Otherwise it’s all roads lead to Moscow…

The turn order for the global game is official, Larry gave it to us in his forum. I guess it was something like this: Germany, Russia, Japan, UK, Italy, China, Anzac, USA, France. At least it was the same as the anniversery edt, but with Anzac and France in there, and China with it’s own turn. I’m not 100% on the order between Anzac, USA, France, but they are last.

Edit: I found the correct list from Larry himself, I had some mistakes:

1. Germany
2. Soviet Union
3. Japan
4. United Kingdom
5. ANZAC
6. Italy
7. United States
8. China
and 9. France.

I have no problem about Germany being dependent on the italian navy to put forces over to Africa, as in real life. This would also make it taking a few turns to get the Africa corps over, and to take out Egypt. It should need some effort to roll over Egypt before the americans enter the war.

God damnit, you’re great! Perhaps I have to order some painted units when the FMG-units arrives. I’m dreaming of the superior Global A&A 1940 Edition. FMG wooden box, FMG pieces, dices and combat turret, and this kind of quality of painted units. Will cost a fortune, but what a set of A&A it would be, it would be so jolly splendid indeed! :D

Still miss the aeroplanes, the mech. inf, the cruiser and the submarine…. ;)

I am Anderb’s pal. One of these boxes are for me. Two of those boxes to Norway, oh yeah! Really looking forward to fill them up with the new unit sculptures from FMG, combat dices for all 9 nations, and to get the global 1940 game. That will be the happy days, my friends! :D We had to order 2 Combat Towers too of course, we have a mate that cheats with the dices, at least it seems like he does……

My compliments to FMG for helping people making a deluxe edt. of Axis and Allies come true!

We are going to Do JAPAN following ITALY.

I can’t discuss price yet as I am not sure what my total cost will be once complete.  I think it is going to be more than the $60 I guesstemated a year a go….

Will the “more than $60”*  be for the entire set of all countries or will it be “more then $60”* for each country individually?  Regardless I will be getting at least one set if not more.

*Used because the price isn’t known yet.

It’s 60+++ for each nation. Remeber it’s alot of pieces, and made in better quality. Perhaps they will prize the nations differently, for instance France with a smaller pack, or a combined France/China package.

A wise and natural choice to go Japan next because of the lack of tac-bombers in the 1940 games, and Italy first since they will just have the infantry sculpts unique.

What the third nation will be is harder to guess perhaps…… ;)

Well, in too many games I’ve played there has been 0% of the IPC vs Japan……
