My battle strip came in looking pretty mangled. But my 6 Tac bombers came in perfect. I guess I should just be happy about that since everyone seems to have gotten at least 1 broken bomber.

I wrote to WotC and complained about the:
*Battle strip
*IPC Chart
*I only got 5 Tac bombers for Japan
*Asked about an updated rulebook and Set Up box for US and Anzac.

Their reply:

"The battle strip is incorrect and was caught fairly recently. We’re in the process of making some new ones and should have them by February. We can put you on the list to receive one.

As for the rest, we’ve received no information one way or the other about what’s going to happen. The piece amount you have is correct, and we have received a number of complains about that and the set up issue, but have no answer we can give at this point. We are making the A&A guys aware and hopefully will have a response soon."

Got mine today from cool stuff inc. Very excited to play it this weekend!!!

A&A Spring 1942 was my first A&A game. With 1940P on it’s way out (and after pre-ordering 2 copies) I perceive '42 as a “travel game” and as a boost in minis and chips to combine with the units I’ll get in 1940 P and E.

I’ve managed games with the contents of 1 box of 1942, but I did NOT come from an A&A background, so perhaps I had less flaws to find. Although they didnt give me enough infantry for Germany, Soviet Union and UK, so I have to start the game using chips!!!

I suggest that everyone write to Wizards Customer Service and complain about the lack of chips in AA42.  Maybe if enough people do it, more will be included in AAP40 and AAE40.

I did just that (2 times) when I purchased AA42. They never replied, nor mailed me anything.

Now thanks to everyone answering my AAP40 questions, I’ll just buy 2 copies.

I’m not trying to deter anyone from doing this, just don’t have high expectations is all.

Final question regarding this. (and it may be my dumbest) Will the same Powers/Armies/Colored Units be in the box for Europe as well as Pacific? I’d assume so, but I don’t want to be wrong. I mean if we get all the units (land, sea, and air) for say France or any of the other non-basic 5 armies in both games this will definitely help me figure out if I need to pre-order just 1 copy of each game).
