you would be correct scardog. lol i dont know why i put 3 fighters total. sorry about that misprint.

even with only 2 fighters, it is still pretty much a lock (barring crazy rolls)

and i made another misprint as well

instead of "combat:
battle 1, sea battle

2 battleships, 2 fighters, 1 sub, and 1 aircraft carrier    vs  1 fighter , 1 aircraft carrier, and a sub."

it should be 2 battleships, 1 bomber, i fighter*, 1 sub……

first of all, the england taking was an accident. secondly, without all of the capitals, (except maybe russia) there’s not much of a chance of either side winning. the only reason we used the rule above was to lengthen the game a little.

Jefe: How is this different from the rules you play with? No one is arguing against the defender choosing his own losses and the attacker choosing his own losses.

Sometimes I think he reads every other line of the post he is questioning. :wink:

The rules were changed to make the game better.

Please, note that the board is not the same as in 1st ed. rules.

I suggest you try the game as is while you wait to see if you get an answer to your search.

1)Try your local(if you have one)fantasy/historical/miniature game store. Ask specifically for First Ed. Rules! They may be able to get them or tell you where to find them if they don’t have it.

2)Also try an advertisement in your local paper. Try the big local pare for a month on Sunday/Wdnesdays for example. If no bites try a couple of small weekly neighborhood newspapers for a month.

3)You might also try a pull-tab flyer (like babysitters or at home businesses use) in some local food, hardware, drug stores (wherever there’s a bulletin board.)
