Buying additional pieces for AAR

I am currently painting my AAG pieces.  I am a little over haflway through, and I think I am doing a pretty good job with them.  I was considering painting my AAR pieces and either selling the pieces of all 5 countries together (but not the game), or selling the game with all of the painted pieces.  I would sell it on ebay, most likely, and post a few messages on here to get people interested to look at them.  Which way do you think would be better to sell, and how much do you think I could get for it?

We just moved to a forward operating base and had another long game. I am 8-1 now, my 1st loss haha. The game was going downhill for Axis untill England made a mistake. He only left 1 tank, 1 inf and 1 arty there so I attacked with 2 inf, 3 planes and 1 battleship roll… I lost… game went downhill from there.

Enhanced doesn’t alter the ability to move out of a contested sea zone as part of a combat movement.  Bean is correct.

Look at the Sequence of play as well.

Buy units
Combat movement
Resolve combat  <==  detection occurs here, AFTER combat movement.
non combat movement
etc

Hopefully you get the point.

Another way to look at it is that the bomber CAN defend land, Carriers cannot.  Bombers do not tie up fighters defending at sea.  Bombers are cheaper then carriers.

Not saying I am discrediting or advocating the plan.  Just wanted to put some thoughts out there.

I was thinking about this the other day and I thought it would be pretty cool just to make the game look nicer.  With AAM: WaS coming out next year, every piece in AAR could be replaced with minis on a board.  Theyll look way better than the regular pieces.  Of course some of the rare miniatures are a bit too large for the regular sized boardgame, but you can fix this problem by making a bigger board at Staples or something.  The only major problem I see is planes, since the War at Sea planes are going to be very small and the AAM planes are fairly large.  Anyways, what do you guys think about it?

Further update for anyone considering ordering additional pieces…

I received my back-ordered INF today, giving me a complete triple set of pieces.

Again, the UK INF were Sea Foam Green…

I did have to abandon my “floss boxes” for pieces (I was using 1 full sized box Axis, 1 full sized Allies, 1 half sized chips, etc).  I have replaced them with a small 26 drawer organizer.  With the dividers available, I was able to almost make one space for each type of unit (I still lumped all Capital ships into one of the larger drawers (still dividied by nation of course), and both bombers and FIGs share a drawer for each nation).  But otherwise, each nation is in its own row, and each unit is in its own drawer or within a section of a drawer.  It holds even the triple count of units nicely, and it is INCREDIBLY easy and quick to find what I need.

For those who do not travel with their board, a great way to organize the whole thing :-)

Of course, with the vast increase in available units, now I REALLY need to get one of those oversized boards (but my table isn;t large enough to hold one :-(  )
