How’s the map going?
[Global 1940] Free France In London
-
I know this has been a idea before. That France could act like China and still produce units in Africa but it would be unbalanced. But what about London? The Germans in my opinion can be way to overpowered in the Atlantic if they choose to be. France could get 3 IPC’s each turn. Any other Ideas?

Hmm, that is an idea for sure. The question is what it’d actually change. Essentially it makes Sea Lion harder (with likely an additional French Infantry per turn in London), and not much else.

@Sarius1997 They could also save up to. I think they could collect Income from Free French areas. They could collect 10 IPC’s each turn at max. They would usually make 5 IPC’s each turn. This would work great if there was a Vichy France option.

@Sarius1997 I they saved up they could build up a Military.

I think it would only work with a Vichy France option to balance it out.
I have a soft spot for the Balance Mod’s rules, but the basic ideas remain the same.
French West Africa, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, French Central Africa, Madagascar, French Guiana, and French Indochina turn pro-Axis, as do all the units there.
The Balance Mod’s rules of having Southern France and its units (including the ships in sea zone 93) as pro-Axis but not allowing Axis troops to activate it work nicely.
I think your Free French rules would encourage more dynamic and individual conflict between the two French factions (as historically done). Maybe also have it so that Allied conquest of Vichy territories is always counted as liberating French ones (thereby giving it to the Free French)?
Would also add more incentive to Sealion (double capital capture!).

@SuperbattleshipYamato I like the ideas/rules you mentioned. I will follow through on triple a.
