@VictoryFirst Thanks for the game! I’ve never felt so desperate as the Germans until the final turns. It was not my intention to abandon St. Lo. The massive shift towards Caen was in desperation and the last turn’s reinforcements to St. Lo confirms for me that even a bad reinforcement roll for the Germans just doesn’t affect them anywhere near the same way as it does the Allies.
My only recommendation for the Allies is not to target the pair of AA guns up in Cherbourg first. Target the AA gun by itself up there first (and/or maybe another unit in the space with the lonely AA gun). Losing both bombers so early cost the Allies something like a “-6” loss in German units they would otherwise destroy.
I target the pair of AA guns with the bombers as well, but only after there are no other targets outside of Cherbourg.
Thanks for the game my friend!

Awesome! Likewise, I thank you for playing! You are an excellent opponent! Yeah the German reinforcements in Rennes caught me off guard 😂. I wasn’t expecting any more Germans to come this late in the game.
Your shift toward Caen was a great move. It was an area where I was weaker and my forces around St. Lo couldn’t very easily help defend without giving up St. Lo. I should’ve probably distributed my forces more evenly and sent a bit fewer troops to Cherbourg (six tanks remaining are a bit too many, a couple of tanks could probably have been used somewhere else). I think even if I managed to hold St. Lo, you still would have been able to contest Caen as you have 8 troops to attack it. I’d need to get 5 strafe rolls and 3 hits with my 8 artillery. Not sure what the odds on that are but I think you have a decent chance to have a unit remaining.
I am almost finished with fixing D-Day. I am now trying to find a way to make 2 or more fighters automatically do multiple strafe rolls. Also, there might be a way to make AA guns automatically fire at aircraft. Do you have any more suggestions about fixes?
