Has anyone done a Rev2 mod for the old Hasbro A&A Computer Game?

i dont see the need for an axis bid it seems the axis always win to me.

The “common” bid for axis is 8-9 ipc.

I will just say that there can be no Bombers or Aircraft Carriers with out advanced flight.

And I prefer to use “boat anchor” place of “cat”

The plexiglass idea works very well.

I used to have a large sheet of plexiglass that I had attached hex grid to the underside of for use when playing AD&D.  A sheet for a “sliding glass door” replacement panel is a standard size that you can get at a home improvement store and measures about 33" by 75".  I think I had paid about $25 for the last one I bought (circa 1997)

With the plexiglass, you are going to want to also get some small felt “feet” (the little self adhesive felt disks) while you are at Lowe’s and put those on the corners, and a few along the edges.  That will help preent sliding, and will protect your table top.

Maybe you could make a thread about your strategy.  Unless your waiting to unleash it against one of the people here?

Started playing in 1990. Currently playing an informal tournament with 2 friends. It’s gonna take us 24 games to play every combination of team/countries, and we are only starting game 4 next week. I have always loved the game, but took a 10 year hiatus at one point…. lack of players near me.

One of the first “improvements” I made was an option to retreat. They can do so the next round after their initial announcement. However, any retreating forces that are hit by the attacking forces don’t receive a retaliation strike back, since they, literally, turned their back to their enemy.

I made up the same house rule too. It seems to work pretty well. It definitely adds to the realism.
