AAZ Question: played any other Axis and Allies game with AAZ?

Thank you for your interest. I’ve finished the 1914 map, but haven’t had much time to work on the AAZ map. I’ve managed to retouch about 20% of the folds I guess, but don’t know when I have more time at hand to finish the work.

You’ll have to remind me. Which one is “Decoy Team?” Is that the one that says something like:

“Select a Territory with Zombies present. Move half of the Zombies from that territory to an adjacent one”

If so, that’s easily the most game-breaking card for the Eastern Front. If the Allies draw it they can have an easier time creating the wall of Zombies I mentioned above (to shepherd the German Spearhead on a longer path to Moscow). On the other hand, if the Axis draw it they’ll be able to either dump Zombies straight into Moscow (seriously damaging its defenses) which also eliminates the only obstacle between 6-10 German Tanks/3+ FTR/BOMB (and accompanying INF) and a (comparatively) lightly defended Moscow.

If you read this thread you’d fine that the short version of my verdict on the game was:

So you’re in good company here. Most of the haters are over on the G40 board.

Send 1 infantry into combat.

The Rulebook had some errors in it in the initial print run, so they were corrected in later print runs.  The incorrect silhouettes were one of those errors.

I’m beginning to think Nazis and Zombies go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly.

I voted indifferent because I’m still holding out hope that:

The undesirable zombies can be house ruled out.

The map is a good medium sized map (a la Revised/42SE).

The “1939 Scenario” that the WOTC rep mentioned in his interview with A&A.org a few months back is fresh/worth playing.

I’m still willing to hold out hope because the only objectively terrible A&A games are 1941 and Spring 42, the latter of which is only terrible because the small map made the game unplayable.
