Are the new maps and the advanced Rules going to be available for sale in stores or is it only a down load thing?

It’s available in stores - I’m not aware if it will be online yet (though I would assume it would be at some point)

While it’s true that most of the WotC maps are on grass, not all of them are. Additionally many players have made their own custom desert maps, and I’m helping to work on a winter one (for Battle of the Bulge)

You’re right in saying that non-mountain hexes do not block LOS too.  I wasn’t thinking about forested mountains though; maybe they should further improve units’ “stealth” by making them only able to be attacked at short range?

Whoa that’s more advanced than I was thinking, but thanks anyways.  Are there any other one dimensional hex markers that fit A&A besides the Memoir '44 ones?
