Axis and Allies 1914 videos

When playing Axis & Allies 1914 I struggle when playing America. Sure, it’s pretty straight forward when playing. You are just trying to aid the Allies in sections where they are thin.

But, when I move my troops over to France or Africa etc. they fail to make a difference or help and a decent way. Yes, they add a defence boost or take out a few extra units, but is there a way were they can become a decent issue for the Axis?

Meaning, is there a really good strategy for America in 1914?

Or a (ok) strategy?

Does 1914 Italy orange = A&A 1940 Japan orange?
What about USA, USSR? Are those the same? (because it looks to me like they’re different shades, but it’s a bit difficult to tell)

True, we don’t know if Britain can send help to Russia.  My thought was that the UK is the most flexible country from the start- in that it should be able to supply help where needed.  The USA is also flexible, but 5-6 turns from helping.

Eight years later your post I have the game box here on my laps.
It says WWI 1914 and A&A game. So they didn’t really call it Axis and Allies. The game is super cool and since I am a great fan of the The Great War I have to say that I enjoy it even more than the other ( so far I have playes only anniversary). Kind regards. Meerko
