Two players battle as Britain vs France for domination of the globe in the 18th century - diplomatically, economically and militarily. Great game!

No… I played the original Supremacy back in the 1980s, but I barely remember the game.

it’s more like risk than A&A  but you can only see units next to you as opposed to the whole board

Twilight Struggle has to be one of my favourite board games.

The mechanics are fairly simple, per se. However the real strategy lies in using and timing your use of cards well.

Plus, it is incredibly fun to throw down a card and yell at your opponent:

MISTER GORBACHEV, TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!!!

So, Twilight Struggle. Great game, or awesome game?

Seriously, one of my very few friends in the area who plays wargames introduced me to it a month or two ago, and I can’t get enough of it. It’s relatively easy to learn to play, but deceptively difficult to get good at (I think I’m improving, but I still lose 8 out of 10 games at least). Anyone else ever played it? (And for that matter, anyone want to arrange to play a game or two either over Vassal or wargameroom.com?)
