Sure, if you’re lucky enough to pull off some of the risky battles. Some of them goes wrong and the whole thing can backfire early. Not a risk I like to take for my games. Especially not in a playtest for strategy.

I did have an overwhelming British attack against Italy in Africa that resulted in complete disaster due to poor dice rolling. It took a long time to recover. Still, I am willing to take risks as the Allies since their economic advantage allows them to overcome occasional bad dice rolls.
No problem on Gibraltar. I figured that you were going to do it, with subsequent reinforcement from German planes.

I have seen my share of major dicing as well, btw. Imagine failing in France GE1… I can laugh about it now, but not at that time. Luckily it is only 1 turn in, so easy to start over.Somehow I forgot to move into Gib, yes. I tend to plan, then move and do battle, and see that I forgot that 1 move that didn’t need combat. Happen quite a bit in TripleA with me. True that German planes. That’s the plan.
The save contains the other italian edit I Pm’ed you about: 2FTR land in Libya instead. That should protect Italy from a smartass french rolling a ‘1’ before Uncle Adolf can fly in :P.

I think I had no other options but to airblitz the Chinese. One of the reasons I am not very fond of a J1. With a JF from the USA, China and UK can be a bit bolder as Japan must attend to the American fleet. -
