Axis & Allies: Commanders Expansion

I have made an expansion for the game adding commanders. Except for a few special abilities, everything is based around a re-roll system.

New features

57 new commander cards, with at least 2 for each nation 39 Generals and 18 Admirals

Quick Guide:

All commanders have certain amount of Power. Power represents how many re-rolls that can be used per battle. A unit can only re-roll once per combat round. Abilities affect this.

Each nation can only use 3 commanders in both offensive and defensive battles each game round.

Just received my custom Battle Board that I had printed to go along with the upcoming giant 1940 Global map that I pre-ordered. Inspired by the original vintage game from 1984 with the design of the original battle board, I just wanted to pay homage to that original design where this now includes expansion pieces for my own AXIS & ALLIES game at home with my son using house rules and third-party pieces (mostly from Historical Board Gaming). This custom board measures 14" x 14".

Thought I’d share this as I thought some might like to see.

I’m a graphic designer and illustrator. I put this together myself using mainly Adobe Illustrator and some Photoshop when I needed to create some of the silhouette icons. Some were borrowed from the actual game’s images for the units.

@Call77 A bit late to the party, but if you don’t mind, I’d really appreciate those PDFs!

I plan on printing some out from Siredblood’s link.  I watched his video and you can certainly do it that way.  My only concern with adhesive backed “stickers” is that with all the handling of game pieces, I can imagine that the stickers begin to peel up after a while. If you’re going to use the adhesive backed stickers, might I recommend to apply thin CA glue around the outside edge of the sticker after you’ve burnished it down on the carrier deck.  You can get some thin CA at your local hobby shop where they sell RC planes, or just order it online.  Because it is literally as thin as water, you’ll need to apply it with some sort of makeshift precision applicator.  But after that, you won’t have to deal with annoying stickers that don’t want to stay down tight.

Also, if you use a glossy type sticker paper, after you’ve applied it and the carrier is “all done”, spray the entire piece with a light coat of Testor’s Dullcote spray laquer.  You’ll get rid of the sheen both on the plastic and from the glossy paper. All the colors will “blend” together and the piece will look much better.  :wink:
