Great game for begginers

As the Axis, I beat the Allies, played by the hard AI.

The Allies had a 27 IPC bid (9 IPCs per power).

Yes M_R, the dynamics of the will change with different groups. In my two 1941 groups G has to go for Africa from the off, or its Med TT will have gone.

In 1941, yes, the only place the Russians can build a navy by default (without capturing Berlin) is to place the great Soviet Fleet in a land-locked sea, making it 99.9% useless.

Of course, building a Soviet Fleet in-general (even if you could send it out into the world’s oceans) is usually about 99.8% useless.

If you’re dead-set determined to build a great Soviet Navy to rule the waves and invade Japan with, there’s really only about two choices you have.
A) Capture Berlin, build fleet there, be the envy of the Allied Navies
B) House-rule in that you can build Industrial Complexes in 1941… Charge 15 IPCs and place a complex on the board so you can build a navy or whatever else (I know 1941 doesn’t come with them, you can literally use anything to denote an Industrial Complex, from an A&A complex used from a different version of A&A to Monopoly Hotels or even a Penny, it doesn’t matter, as long as everyone agrees what you’re using for Industrial Complexes).

I entirely agree with the original post. Nothing to add to it! The comment which indeed says it all to me is that when the Axis take Moscow, it’s not like it’s almost over, it just starts again!

BTW, has anyone ever played a A&A 41 game in which MOSCOW does not fall sooner or later. I’ve once held it for 5 or six rounds, mostly by sending Allied fighters there (both British and American), but in the end it always fell…

India can certainly be held by the British for a long time, even though to newbies it may seem that it can’t.

the allies cannot win with russia so heavily crushed. The gain in IPC’s for both the axis countries should ensure victory. As germany, take the rest of russia in order to close that theater, even if you lose another West europe germany. After closing that front, focus entirely on GB and take back Europe. You should be able to do this with the gain of IPC’s. Build your navy and keep using the economy to your advantage. Obviously you have more IPC’s than britain, which means you should be able to slowly overrun them. As japan, a navy would serve well to repulse the Americans. BUT make sure you don’t lose japan. So before you build a navy, make sure you have adequate defense on your mainland, and make sure the americans can’t land in Asia (screw Australia, you can take that back, not important) Once you are secure from landings. Use your IPC’s you took from Russia and the Middle east to build a navy that can cleanse your waters. With Both axis focusing on a Navy, you will be able to take the war to their doorstep by giving yourself an offensive fleet that can land troops onto the American continents while forcing the allies to play defensively

that does mean giving up moscow in a very near future. those 3 inf and tank are vital.
for the rest; i agree. it seems game is made to go KJF almost every time :(
