Canada wasn’t given any autonomy until July 1, 1867, which is what Canada Day celebrates. The Burning of the White House took place during the War of 1812 in 1814.

Yeah, so it’s a little late I know, but I was out in the field so I had a good excuse. We had one hell of a firework display on the night of the fourth. 8-)
Hmm, given that situation, my perferred action would be to order some underling to take care of it and then yell at 5 privates for bringing the problem to my attention instead of fixing it themselves. :)
