Russian troops in the middle east/africa

  • You can probably start J3 if you build an airbase in Chahar on J2, assuming Germany will have one of Belarus/Western Ukraine on G3 to land in.
Build bombers any time after J1, since that initial naval buy is pretty important in the Pacific.  I guess ultimately it’s optional.

  • So provided Germany attacks Russia G2, Japan could send 2 bombers without fighter escorts to Moscow J3.

  • @Alsch91:

Yeah Spendo, you’re making an assumption I find a bit strange-
Germany won’t be taking Moscow on G6, as long as Russia and the Allies know what they’re doing.  If that were consistently possible, the game would be broken.

Explain how the Allies stop a G6 attack on Moscow.  I’m not being a jerk, I’m curious what the Allies do from your experience or strategies.

  • Well I’ve found that it’s very difficult to actually get enough material to Moscow in time for that.  Not impossible, but you won’t be able to buy units for any other purpose.

Which means a dead Italy, and as many allied fighters coming through Nenetsia and Persia as possible.  UK won’t have anything to buy for other than those fighters.  Grabbing Central Persia on UK 1 and building a factory there lets you get a bunch into Moscow.

UK reactions to an early German attack on Russia are very situational and hard to outline.  Grabbing Norway early is possible at times.  It’s no D-Day but when Germany’s hell bent on taking Moscow quick, every single western distraction counts.

  • @Spendo02:

Explain how the Allies stop a G6 attack on Moscow.

Threatening a counterattack (ie artillery in Bryansk) makes them stop for a turn to bring up reinforcements.
