Crud! I accidentally voted for Spiderman! I meant to vote for DD.
This would be true for the Spiderman in the movies (Tobey Maguire is a wuss and would run crying at the sight of blood), although the comicbook version would probably be somewhat even.
@Mr:
In a toe to toe fight, Spiderman would wipe the floor with Daredevil.
But, in the comics there is always some sort of drama that influences the outcome of battle like this.I read a comic book that had these two fight and Ddevil beat the living hell out of Spiderman. However, Spiderman had just had a friend who was shot dead and was chasing after the guy wild with rage. Spiderman caught the guy and being wild with rage, was beating him to death.
Lucky for the bad guy Ddevil was nearby and jumped in to prevent Spiderman from killing him. Well, Spiderman was none to happy and after a small heated exchange started swinging at the fences for Ddevil. In Spiderman’s state, his fighting style was very undisciplined and Daredevil being a hardcore, street level asskicker, was able to lay it down on Spiderman.
shit!
call it the Port, but this is far too funny. I can’t believe that you know this.
speaking of superheroes… any of you seen Unbreakable? I loved it
Who’s Unbreakable?
Marvel or DC?
Anybody ever read a series called…
LIBERAL MAN?
It’s about James Carville developing a superhero complex, includes the
bald newsman with the hawklike face on ABC(Sam Donaldson), superhero equalkicks (not sidekicks, which would be politically incorrect),
and adventures during the Clinton Administration. It’s politically incorrect if you haven’t figured that out. :)
I got the full series.
Or…
Pete the P.O.'d Postal Worker?
A Psycho mailman battles evil in various forms…
Street gangs, drugs, Mafia(oops! I mean bad guys,
since there is no Mafia), Osama bin Laden,
postal bad guys, etc… It’s politically neutral
unless you don’t believe in evil
(read “are extremely liberal.”)
I have everything out…
they still are publishing, sporadically.
order 'em at …
They got a coupla good books, too.
Nice Guys Don’t Get Laid
and Hunting for Lawyers.
Both have a lot of truth in them,
but are written tongue in cheek.

noooo Unbreakable = a movie with Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson!
“Security Guard David Dunn miraculously survives a catastrophic train crash outside Philadelphia. Not only is he the sole survivor out of 132 passengers, he also is completely unharmed. A little later, comic book specialist Elijah Price contacts him to confront David with an incredible theory: Elijah, who has been nicknamed “Mr. Glass” due to his more than fragile bones, thinks that David has got all which he himself lacks. The two of them “seem to be linked by a curve, but sitting on opposite ends”. First, David does not believe the strange man, but every single thing he had said proves to be true: David has never ever been hurt or sick in his life, his physical strength is larger than normal and he has a skill which others don’t. Slowly, David begins to discover the shocking truth behind Mr. Price’s assumptions. But after all, David’s fate is not only to find his real place in the world. It also is about proving Elijah’s theory of his own existence.”
that’s the plot…basically Samuel L Jackson believes Bruce Willis is a superhero, and the movie is about trying to convince him that he is, and to apply his powers, etc. very cool movie though! :)
I’ve seen it, Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson are both great actors IMO. So saying I agree completely good flik.
Indeed, Unbreakable is extremely good.
I’m kind of a Toxic Avenger fan myself. The first superhero from New Jersey. Toxi used to be a 98 pound weakling who was ridiculed, beat up, and other bad stuff, untill one day he fell into a barrel of toxic waste; it mutated him into a giant, superhumanly strong monster. He leads the other super heros of Tromaville, Sgt. Kabookiman NYPD, Dolphin Man, Vibrator, Masturbator, and Mad Cowboy. The only question is, can Troma make a movie that’s so bad I can’t even watch it.
lol…closest thing to “comics” i like is calvin and hobbes :) and foxtrot’s cool too. heh heh I named my old rat calvin, and my brother’s named his Hobbes. lol then one time when Hobbes had babies, she got all protective right? So my brother dared me to stick my tongue in the cage. lol so i did, and hobbes ran right over, grabbed it with both paws (hands? what do rat’s have?) and bit almost right thru it :o lol it sucked, but it was pretty funny thinking back
:o
Unbreakable sounds good, ctm. I’ll check it out.

Toxic Av…sounds and looks like somebody had a little fun spoofing all the toxic heroes that came before…
Trauma/vile and other… Yep!
