The game rules regarding submarines not making a sea zone hostile do not seem to reflect the realities of what submarines did in WW II. The Allies developed anti-submarine forces and the convoy system to fight the German submarine threat in the Atlantic theater and were, after a time, able to virtually eliminate the submarine threat from this “hostile sea zone”. On the other hand, the Japanese never bothered with anti-submarine forces or the convoy system and, by the end of the war, Allied submarines had essentially run out of targets to sink.
The new submarine rule

AA40 do basically use the Anniversary rules, but there are one exception.
When a solitary transport move through or end the move in a seazone with an enemy sub, either in combat or non-combat move, each sub fire against the tranny. A roll of 2 or less is a hit, and there are only one round of combat. If the tranny survive, it may embark or debark or whatever it wants.

With “solitary transport” I talk about trannies that move without surface warships as escort.
If any surface warship is present in that seazone, the sub stay submerged.

I am not answering what is obviously a question for Razor, but I figure that someone chiming in his behalf will give a little more credence to what will almost assuredly be a tongue-in-cheek response from him. In my experience, Razor likes to have some fun with his posts. Either that, or English is not his native language. Is it, Razor? Though, I’m not sure I will believe what you tell me :-D.
