@Krieghund Thanks! (For completeness, I should have been more clear in that Germany controlled Persia at the beginning of its turn in this example. i.e. there was/is a legal landing zone for the fighter)
Ftr to karleia or Sinkang?
-
I have herd 2 different versions of what do do with russia’s airforce and the US plane in asia. Do you send the US plane to karleia/russia or the russian airforce to sinkang? Just woundering which one is more widly used.
-
Neither. It is highly unlikely the US’s Asian fighter survives and the Russian fighters are best off defending Karelia.
-
Yeah, most likely that US ftr will never see the light of day. Otherwise I would use the Flying Tigers to wreck havok on any transports Japan has in its homewaters.
-
to karila! try to get to the US without the pacific
-
What I will sometimes do is put the Russian fighters in Egypt to give the British more ability to hold Africa.
-
russian fighters in eygept, eh :-? ?
-
Placing them in the caucasus or in Syria/Iraq can also work to help threaten the German transport.
-

I think it is one thing to potentially threaten the German transport and another actually going after it (at least with Russian FTRs). Personally I would never take the a risk like that. Those Russian FTRs are nearly impossible to replace and you need every bit of offensive trading power when the Ukr/ENO/Nov/Kaz battles present themselves. I suggest leaving the clearing of the German navy up to the USA or UK.
I never said it was a good idea, all I said was that it is a possibility.
