Me, I am mildly Authoritarian because I’m pro-life, and pro-enviorment.

Being a Radical Conservative Communist I guess I can’t vote in the little poll of yours. Anyways, the definition is quiet easy to explain. I’m a Neo-Communist (blending Marxist and Lenin views with the New Age International Socialism/Communism) combined with Federalist, LOFT principles. Other than that there is no real meaning.

i don’t really fit here, i don’t think. I’m a fiscal conservative, but i also have the heart of a liberal. With the exception of Jean Cretien, I lean more to the Liberal camp in the Canadian political scape (just to the right of socialism, i guess).

I suppose I’m some sort of Troskyist or democratic socialist ( large differance here between social democrats); I can’t really tell whic I am, and that doesn’t really matter a great deal because I was never one for applying labels. I geuss I’m like that becuase I never really understood money. I can still remember asking my mother why we bother with it; it’s a very foreign concept to me.

Moses, I don’t really get what you’re getting at. Conservatives favor an open economic system, Communists favor a state controlled economic system.

I think the choices in the poll are too limiting. What ahout “Moderate”? Or maybe its just that the Libertarian party has tainted the regular meaning of libertarian.

The poll is not prefect, but it is meant to be general rather than ultra-specific. That said, people tend to lean towards one of the four positions I listed. Either they believe in less government controls on personal freedom (ie. personal freedoms are like doing drugs, prostitution) and less government involvement in economic freedoms (ie. minimum wage, trade) in which case they are libertarian. If they believe in more government control of personal issues and less gov. control of economy then they are right. If they believe in more personal freedoms and greater economic controls they are left. And if they are for more government all around, they are authoritarian.

I think the poll is missing and important point of the “political triangle,” anarchy. Surprisingly there is authoritarian but no anarchy.
