I like to solitaire the Global 1940 but the AI is weak, although much better than it was 5 years ago.
I don’t know coding, I can’t help in any way, but I would love a really strong AI that was basically invincible and I’d be happy to have it take a long time to make decisions.
Just wondering what the state of play of better AI is, and I’m curious are there superior A&A AIs elsewhere on the web.

Actually the LHTR Heavy Bombers option only gives +1 to total SBR damage on maps where the xml is configured in a certain way.
In Global 1940, it does NOT give any bonus.

Therefore, it is fully rules compliant.

How is it in AA50-ww2v3?

I tested it myself and found out that it is wrong in ww2v3 (AA50) regarding SBR.
There “1” is added to the best die.
It should be “take the best die” only.

Hi Everyone,

I’m wondering if this is a known issue. I searched but didn’t see anything.

I have Hasbro 1998 CD-Rom with 4.2B Patch installed.

The Scenario occurs during combat against the Computer who controls a Carrier with Fighter(s).

The computer will apply hits to the carrier before the fighters, if the battle ends with a computer owned fighter without a carrier, the game locks up, CPU goes to 99% and I must kill the program in the Task Manager.

Seems like a patch could add some code that would kill any fighters without carriers at the end of combat?
