Anyone in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area interested in playing? There are a few nice gaming cafes in and around the city.
An online WaS mapping tool - in progress

I spent about an hour this morning whipping this together.

Let me know if it doesn’t work. Sometimes I click it an it’s fine, sometimes not.
-
It’s not working for me… may I ask what it is?

What browser are you using? It’s a War at Sea map. It has a little box that you can drag around the map.
It requires a browser that supports the canvas tag.

IE8? C’mon, if you’re going to use IE at least upgrade to 9.
The canvas tag won’t work on IE8 or below. You’ll need a modern HTML5 compatible browser. I realize I’m cutting out part of the audience by having browser restrictions but I’d rather ask somebody to upgrade a browser than to write cross-platform desktop code.

Well my work machine is an XP so no IE9 or higher for me :)
(And I am well aware it is an antique, but a developers machine is like an old friend, a broken in leather chair, and tricked-out car all in one. It would take me ages to migrate to my Win 7 box).
I downloaded the latest Netbeans version a couple of days ago to work on a java MapView port. Not nearly as cool and portable as an HTML5 map like you are making, but maybe you will share your code when you are done and I can borrow some :)

Oh no! XP won’t go higher than IE9? I’m sure you can download the latest Chrome or Firefox though.
The code is in the clear, just view source on the browser. It really doesn’t do anything right now.

Works alright for me, running Chrome.
