Do strat bombers get a roll before the AA ?

It’s on the tin, if my bombers survive to bomb the factory the rules imply they get to bomb first and then the auto AA fires, so even if they get hit they still do the damage, unless I read it wrong.

Technically they both happen at the same time. Both the bomber and the AA get to roll.

@captainnapalm Regular AA artillery does not have first strike (Rule 12.2) and in the case of strategic bombing, it’s not the AA artillery that defends, but the one that is inherent to each facility. The bombing sequence is clear that bombers roll first, then AA, so there is always strategic damage even if the bomber is hit (table 9-9).

@turndown4rip Wow…this needs an example in the rule book. So easy to overlook and go with instinct from A&A.
